10/3- Ride for a Cause Surf Contest 
 Join us at Little Island Pier in Sandbridge on October 3rd, 2009 for the 8th annual Ride for a Cause Surf Contest to support the March of Dimes.  This laid-back contest includes a shortboard division with cash prizes, 6-man team surf, longboard and old-school longboard divisions.  To enter or get more info check out the Ride for a Cause website.

10/3- Livestrong Dolphin Challenge
Support A Dolphin's Promise and the Livestrong foundation and join the fight to beat cancer.  5K and 10K runs and a 1 mile kids' fun run.  Run alongside beautiful Back Bay and Sandbridge.  More information can be found at SandbridgeDolphinChallenge.com .

10/4- JT Walk 
Join the walk to defeat ALS.  The JT Walk on Sunday, October 4th 2009 supports 2 great causes.

Click here to join the Surf & Adventure Team and participate in the JT Walk.  Proceeds from the JT Walk will  support patient service programs, ALS research and the cost of building the Park for EveryBODY at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.  The EveryBODY park will not only provide beach accesss to handicapped individuals who otherwise couldn't venture farther east than the boardwalk, it will also ensure that 1st street remains a protected surfing area for years to come.

Calling all stand up paddle, paddleboard, and outrigger enthusiasts.  The Back Bay Hei Hei is a paddle race event held at the Baja Restaurant in Sandbridge.  Registration starts at 9am and Races Start at 10am.   For more information email Surf & Adventure Co.
